Garden Mural
Designed and Painted by Moon Sun and Love
Commissioned by St. Leo the Great School
Replacing an older sun-faded installation, the newly designed and painted Garden Mural, facilated by Local Color and created by Moon Sun and Love, at St. Leo The Great School revitalizes a beloved space on campus with imagery that honors both growth and heritage. Positioned behind the school’s educational garden, the bright, colorful design incorporates symbols of the Indigenous Ohlone people and their lands, alongside natural motifs like the hummingbird—an emblem of joy, resilience, and continuity. The mural celebrates the flourishing of the garden while mirroring the personal development of students throughout their years at St. Leo. Serving as both inspiration and backdrop, it frames the garden as a place for learning, reflection, and joyful memory making.
