Volunteer Murals on Santa Clara and 2nd Street

Designed by Venecia Prudencio and Frankie McFly, painted by volunteers

In partnership with the San Jose Downtown Association, Local Color facilitated a volunteer mural painting event in September 2022 to activate blank wooden boards used to cover windows of closed businesses. Two artists, Venecia Prudencio (Coping Artist) and Frankie McFly were commissioned to design artwork that could be executed in a paint-by-numbers style. Over 20 volunteers showed up and made their marks alongside the artists.
